New Reviews are in the works I just have to record and upload sometime this week all HD. Unboxing for Kshatriya and my finished Arcade Stick.

Cool stuff in FEB

MvC3
Its Coming out ever so quicker. They just released that Hsien Ko and Sentinel are going to be in the game. Which makes me want it even more. I still don't think they are done with characters maybe 2 more but I remember seeing a tweet from Capcom saying they was playing the game and show pictures of finished box and pressed discs. So not to sure what else they gonna have but DLC would be super awesome.

I soooo wasn't going to buy this game because im not exactly a big fan of FPS games. But after playing the demo its really good so I want to pick that up FEB.

Saving the best for last: Katsucon
I definitely want to buy MG Unicorn and thats most likely it unless I can't find it and see another MG I might want maybe. I'll make sure to take lots of photos and just have fun I can't wait!!

Kit wise I think I want to start work on soaking Kshatriya's Conversion parts. I also want to make a order to Samuel Decal and get some decals for my 1/60 Force Impulse and a couple other kits I have. Buy some Spray paint and tools to get ready to start building the new kits as well. I might not be doing that much building wise but i'll be preparing so hopefully I can but if I don't you will know why. Oh and if anything ill start on HG RX-0 Destroy Mode should be a quick fun build :-)

Other news in March I am halting all spending (if possible) to put all my resources in buying a passport ^_^ I'm going to Japan :-) Not this year only because I got tons of stuff I have to do here first and it was kinda just decided last month that I was going. So im trying early next year around March area.

First of all I probably won't be updating the blog the next couple days. I
had a death in the family and I have to tend to the family so I'm going to put
pretty much everything on hold till thats taken care of.

Just a quick Run down of my Works in progress when I come back:

HG Unicorn Destroy Mode :
Next Kit I'm thinking of doing. I need a couple supplies first. Which Include
the new Micron Fine Point Marker set. I only want it for its .005 Red Pen that I will
use to do the panel linig. I need to examine and plan how I'm going to paint the Unicorn stand as well.

Kotobukiya RockMan
I will build this guy sometime in the very very near futre I think I really want to maybe try hiding seem lines with him dunno just yet but its a pretty straight forward build.

MG Master Gundam
Not much special going on here just need to build and paint maybe ill do him after Unicorn Destroy Mode.

1/60 Force Impulse Real Detail
This Kit I was going to just build to have a 1/60 kit but everyone on the net who has one pretty much just does the kit. So I want to add a bit more detail and experiment with somethings. I want to test Scribing the most ^_^ And I also want to add decals from Samuel Decal.

HG Kshatriya & Conversion Kit
This I think ill slowly work on. I need to buy the spray paint for the color scheme. I'm going with a dark green/light green/Black kinda like whats on the box. I want to order some decals from Samuel Decal as well and when I do that I plan on ordering a bunch of decals so thats gona be a 30 dollar order probally.

MG Sinanju
I have to take a look of whats in the box but this will be a pretty easy build. I don't really want to do much to it but the regular extra details, decals and such. I wanted to buy the Conversion kit but It really didn't have much of anything worth buying in the Conversion so I'm skiping it lol. I will take a couple looks at some other Sinanjus for inspriation but not much to add to a already awesome kit

MG RX-78 OYW
I really want to knock this one out but I'm determined to fine the Evolve Conversion kit lol so I will put that on the back burner till I can find one or finish the other kits.

With Katsucon Coming up I only see myself buying MG Unicorn with or without cage depending on price. I don't really see anything but cool factor with the cage. I want the cage but kinda on the fence. I know I will buy one version so kinda up for grabs i suppose. I'm trying not to buy any more HG's or SD's but man its kinda hard Vektar's SD 0 Gundam got me drooling lol and that SD Sinanju looks really good and not to even mention the SD Unicorn. Nothing else reall catches my eye model kit wise. I will say I'm looking forward to this non gundam related item :

Just a quick slide show of the whole thing put together:

It came out extremly well and I'm so happy I had it done before MvC3 came out. I couldn't install the new joystick becaue the plate on the old one wouldn't come off and I ended up stripping the screws. So I think ill buy a new plate if I can find one and install the other stick later.

I really had fun putting it together from designing the artwork in Photoshop to assembling it all. I think if I can find another SE stick I most definitely buy it or look for a TE stick. Seems like the TE sticks have a kinda plexiglass thing on top of the artwork and you just unscrew that and its easier to switch artwork back and forth. ^_^ Can't wait for MvC3 now

Spraying Done!

After it drys for say a couple of hours I'm going to put a gloss coat on top. I still need to paint the start and select buttons. I should have sanded away the "headphone" and "start & select" text but oh well. Illl post pictures of the decals I plan on putting on the stick

Lookie what I have now its time to wipe down the case with this and alcohol start spraying maybe this weekend. Throw a Gloss Coat on top of it and then maybe some Decals on the casing that I got from Otakon Gunpla contest last year :-) And I will be able to clean off the metal piece that still has goop from the orginal art and maybe apply my art :-)

Marvel Vs Capcom 3 and Other things

Marvel Vs Capcom 3 is coming Feb 15th. I never would have thought they would have done another one but hey its here. I got a chance to test the game out back in NYAF/NYCC and I was really really impressed. I hear good and bad things about balance issues but hopefully capcom won't let us down. I know personally the game is going to rock. I pre-ordered the special edition and I hope they don't screw me by releasing like a ultimate edition with joystick, after the game comes out because I'm gonna be alittle pissed. Even though I have my Mad Katz SE I kinda like the TE versions but they are alittle bit too much to spend 150 on alone now if I got MVC3 AND the TE for 150 I could sleep a bit better at night.

I had a General Question for my readers who plan on buying MVC3.
What will be your Team?
In MVC2 Days I had Magneto/Guile/Random Person. This time around I'm thinking
Magneto/Wesker/Deadpool or IronMan

On to the other things I e-mailed Tatsu Hobby about my HGUC Kshatriya and they told me it should ship out on Monday! So hopefully sometime next week I will get it and do a unboxing. I really really want to start on my joystick but im stuck between painting it or just leaving it white. I also think I will start on HG Unicorn depending whats going on.

EVA 00 Done

Great Kit but its a HG don't let the size fool you. There was alot to I had to
paint and do to get this kit the way I wanted it. All the weapons were Grey smh
lots of stuff that could have been another color wasn't lol. The Rubber on the
arms were really weird and paint rubbed off here and there. It was worth getting
and a nice change of pace but just know what your getting yourself into. I think
most people if you have a option pass and get the 2007 kits, this one was the 2003 one
or the oldest of the series I suppose. The newest kits from the new movie remakes
seem like they are a bit bette imo from reviews I seen online.

Fixed the pictures ^_^ I have been trying to make sure when I do a kit and upload photos to photobucket that I keep everything organized and I just moved the pictures into a EVA 00 Album and didn't notice that those three in the last post weren't originally in the album.

EVA 00
Is pretty much done I haven't done any of the weapons, entry plug, and still need to finish detailing the shield. But its still pretty much finish enough to do a review on the kit. Hopefully tonite ill have the video made and uploaded if not ill upload when I get to work. I finally added the water slide decals and I'm so proud of myself I never used them and they came out pretty good.

Future Kits
Umm Megaman should be here soon :-) HG Kshatriya Conversion still waiting to ship. I think next kit ill do though will be my Unicorn "Destroy Mode" with Stand.

Hopefully I will have a airbrush soon and I will probally go back into SD's and maybe HG or NG's again just to test the thing out. I still have abunch of NG that I want to sell maybe ill use those if I can't sell them.

Conventions

I still plan on going but I doubt all three days. Its one of those gain something loose something things. If I go all three/two days I won't have any spending money. If I go one day I can spend some cash. I only really want like MG Unicorn unless I see some crazy hot deal I don't see myself buying anything more than that.
Otakon
What can I say best anime convention on the east coast period (that I have been to)
This year I'm thinking of cosplaying as Tralfagar Law

So I gotta get crackin on building the sword. I think ill make it out of either wood or card board still not certain on which just yet.
NYAF
This is so far down the line but im still going again had fun in 2010

Thats all I can think off a couple local con's too but ill bring them up as they come.

Projects

With MVC3 coming next month I gotta get crackin on my custom joystick for the tournament. I think I'm gonna paint my stick metallic blue using Tamiya =) I'm going to try and get my custom art printed at Kinkos this week too.

Eva 00 WIP PT 2

Ok one thing I absolutely hate and like about this kit is how High Grade it is lol
Come on you guys know what im talking about:

Nice parts but whats this? They are all grey but take a look at the manual:

(I'll go from left to right)
1. First of all the Lance of Longenoius(too lazy to get correct spelling)
Its Grey but in the picture its clearly Red.
2.Next pic the entry plug is white and grey looks cool but I get a black entry plug...
3.The Head looks nothing like that lol the white circle is blue the back half of the head
which shows up white is blue and they give you a sticker... I'm not using it.
4. The little picture with all the weapons ugh looks nice but all grey even the shield being black in the picture is all grey.
5. Taking a look at the Color Guide in the middle the spine area is NOT grey they are like black
and the like place where your umm adams apple (?) would be the red part is like a dark red and im pretty sure the middle piece is not red.
6. under that the actual plug for power is black and the foot is like grey on the bottom but
in reality is like red black and blue (???)
7. Back into the color guide the grey chest pieces are blue but they do give stickers which I won' t use smh

So wow I don't remember NONE of my high grades being this dificult to color. I think I'm going to using a mixture of spray painting and hand brushing and priming to get the results I want. Its really crazy its like the size of a 1/100 the colors of a First Grade but some movability of a High Grade. I dunno if I'm going to buy another EVA kit lol I will try out the newer ones though Asuka's Unit looks nice and maybe Shinji's just to have the whole family but thats a big if because they are expensive.

I mentioned before the Hate in this kit and now ill mention the like. Its really going to help me with detailing and perfecting my brushing and testing things out. So in that aspect I kinda don't mind. I love Evangalion and Rei and 00 so I will stick with this kit. But I just wanted to warn you guys you really need to know whats ahead.

Perfect Grade /Rant or something

Hmm I just spend some cash on some new kits or so and I know im running out of space for my kits. I soon will be buying another Detolf from IKEA and rearranging something’s in the "Man Cave" to accommodate the new kits. But after I fill up that other Detolf I might take abreak from Gunpla. And my last kit that I want to do most likely will be a perfect grade.
So far these are the three I want well one of the three, and what I think about them.
PG 00 Raiser

I have seen some sick version’s this kit and it looks like a good bang for my buck around 250-300 for the Raiser and 00 not that bad. But the Price of the actual kit is whats making me kinda stray away from it. Yea a big bang would be whats up I just spend 300 on my last Gundam but I just can’t bring myself to do it lol maybe if it gets lower?
PG Strike Gundam

Hmm cheap kit GSAM sells for 150 not bad I might buy this one but as everyone knows I don’t like the guns so ill probally end up with the big sword which is nice and I like the design of the kit. But you know it kinda seems a bit simple for a pg maybe im looking at it wrong?
PG Astray Red Frame

Drools this has what I want… SWORDS most likely this will be the one I get. I Have the NG version and would love to get the MG version but right now I’m going to wait. I might go with this one not much bad I can say about the kit thought. Has everything I want.
As far as PG Strike Freedom umm I love Strike but I have the MG and im not super hype about the PG version. If I can find it cheap maybe just maybe ill get the RX-78 but its meh right now. I also kinda like Wing but it wasn’t enough in the kit that made me want it, for all that ill just get the Master Grade. If I find any of those PG’s at a good price I think ill nab one. Not saying ill never do Gunpla again but ill probally take a break and devote my time to something else like learning Japanese  for now though I got a nice WIP and I only see myself buying maybe 3 more kits (yea I know I always say that) but I only really want MG Unicorn, Hi Nu, Wing Gundam and this baby if I can ever find it in stock:

Ok so here is my big surprise. Maybe more or less suprise for me.
But I was waiting till the 24 till I had some extra money but things went my way
and I got my monies abit early. I ordered this :

My First Resin Conversion Kit and my First Kotobukiya Kit from the good guys at Tatsu Hobby(link on right)! I'm so salty for not noticing that Rockman was on backorder but now that I think about it doesn't matter. I'm still working on my EVA 00. Afterward I'm thinking of working on my HG Destroy Mode unicorn with stand. After that I'll probablly work on my Force Impulse. I say probably because I want to start on the kits for Otakon ^_-. At this point only other kit I see myself buying is Unicorn Master Grade and a whole lot of supplies. I might be buying a Airbrush but if I do and money permits it probally won't be until the end of the month. I saw a nice air compressor at the hardware store for 60 and the air brush is 60 x2 (one for kits and one for cakes) so I'm going to wait before I go spending that much. I think thats it for this little update stay tuned for more with HG EVA 00. Hopefully sometime this weekend I can get some more of it done ^_^,

HG Reborns Gundam 1/144 FINAL

Ok here is my final say on this kit. Its hot. Would I recommend it to anyone else? Most definitely. Its a great. I know me personally I could have put abit more work into it but it looks awesome the way it is. I could have detailed a bit more. I really like the panel lines that are all over the kit. At first glances its all red and white but once you build it the panel lines kinda make it look alot better.

I broke like 3 pieces but the crazy glue I used is holding pretty well so im not that upset. Great kit now I just need to buy a variant of the HG 00 Raiser to have them fight.

Quick Update

I been so pissed off lately. I think I might stop doing HG's after I finish my back log smh

I dunno what it is but with Reborns I broke 3 parts. The Skirts/Saber/Waist Leg Peg.
I was going to experiment with panel line wash and I figured I would take it apart just legs/arms/waist and test it out. Took off the Left legg and bam the peg broke smh.

I did put some krazy glue and it seems to be holding but dag whats up? I don't think I have grown that much in strength or the gravity has changed in my basement.....

Anywho for now I think after my back log which unfortunately has like 3 HG's (Destroy Unicorn/Kshatriya/Eva00) will be my last batch of HG's for awhile.

I was already moving towards doing only MG's anyway so shouldn't be that much of a surprise.

Panel Line Wash & Update

Ok so I think I want to step it up a bit and maybe its just for the sake of being lazy or finishing my Gunpla faster but I think I'm going to start Panel Line Washing.
I went and picked up these last night :

Now I just need to pick up some Black/Light Grey and I will try it out on Unicorn HG most likely. I'm still waiting for my packages to test out somethings to finish up Reborns so stay tuned.

Next Month I want to order the Resin Conversion for Kshatriya and maybe a couple more bits for my kits I want to enter into the Competition for next year's Otakon.

I think tonite I will start working on Eva 00 should be fun. And I need to swing by Micheals and pick up some more brushes maybe and some Oil Paint ^_^ Stay Tuned.

HG Reborns Gundam 1/144

So Basically I painted the whole kit just need to paint the saber and panel line the thing. I love the kit, it has tons of pre made lines for panel lining. And It looks so much cooler in person than on the pictures. I used Gundam marker to make the yellow on the face which looks fantastic. I broke one of the sabers and the back skirt :-( I gotta crazy glue the saber but I fixed the skirt but its not in these pictures. Hope you like :-)

NYAF/NYCC Review

Ok so sorry it took so long to make this. I had no idea that I never made a review although
I did make a video review I just forgot sorry lol
So first of all it was NYCC (New York comic Con) X NYAF (New York Anime Festival)
They merged the two this year and hence you got what I went to. Good things were lots
and lots of things to do. Bad things there was lots and lots of things to do lol but didn't
have that much time I went Sat and Sun, I got to play alot of video games and missed out on some
events because I either didnt know they was there or I just didn't have time.

Overall it was pretty awesome. I got to see the NYC sights again ( I love NYC) and went to some old stores like Image Anime and Midtown Comics. Great time I think right now my Staple for Anime conventions will be (in order of apperance) Katsucon, Otakon, NYAF. So far they are the best for content and things happening all around really. Oh yea I did see the Gundam 00 Movie it was fantastic ill make a video of my impressions later this weekend hopefully.

Thats a understatement lol I been so busy lately, and all my hobbies have been taking a hit in some shape or form. I slowed down/ stopped buying kits until I finish my backlog. hopefully I can finish almost everything before Katsucon or at least take a dent into the backlog.

I got around to spray painting Reborns Red/White parts. Debating on if I should color the other yellow parts plain yellow or just top coat them. I brought some new Krylon paint that look slike a freaky gunmetal so I will be painting the grey parts that color.

Lately I have been feeling a bit non interested in gunpla only because I have been trying to put more into the way they look. So I need more time to put out something better. I think I'm going to buy a airbrush kit. I'm hoping that I can use the compressor for other things (bike tires, airbushing cakes (for my wife)etc) so it won't be a total waste. But then I can be able to spray paint inside the house. At this point I spray paint outside cause Kyrlon will have you high and dead if you stay inside. So I think im gonna invest in a airbrush for that reason PLUS I hear its cheaper because you stretch the paint out farther. Anywho hopefully if I get that the turn around of my kits will come out better. In other news I want to sell some of my kits because I want to get mastergrade versions. I kinda don't want most of my HG's but some of them I want to keep. So here's a list of what I want to sell just shoot me a price and I will let you know.

Yo I am so pissed why you say?
Well something happen with google. Now they have like once you sign in it signs you in across the board. Whats he mean you say?
Well For some stupid reason I wasn't reading what I was doing and by accident linked my youtube account to my hotmail account. Normally wouldn't be bad but I use my gmail on my phone and I'm always on my gmail. So whenever I want to goto my blog or my youtube it forces me out of my gmail and vice versa.
Anywho I think ill have to remake the blog AND remake my youtube channel so they all under one email >_> But I don't have time for this so I think the temp fix for this will be me just using Internet Explorer 9 for my Youtube/Blog and then sign in on my gmail on Chrome (which I primarly use anyway.)

Otakon 2010 Written Review

Otakon 2010 Where do I begin..
This was my second time going and it was fantastic. We stayed at the Biltmore Suites Hotel
It was a 2 bed suite on the third floor. This would have been super cool but the elevators
were broken (for a couple years) and well I wasn't to excited about that lol. They didn't have
newer TV's so I brought my 32inch LCD. So Day 1 was climbing steps like crazy lol but wasn't that bad just wish I knew the elevators were broken beforehand.

Day 1 Pre Reg (I went Thursday BTW) was fantastic. Last year mind you we had to wait in a line
and then get our badges etc all of what took maybe a hour give or take a minute. This year there was almost nobody in line, at first I was like "whoa Otakon this year sucks?", but this year they were using barcodes to scan everyone in. So PRE REG literally took like 5 minutes or less, keeping in mind I had 2 other friends with me and we had to pic which badge we wanted lol.

Day 2 The actual con was upon us. First thing I had to do was enter in the Gundam competition. I took my MG Exia with Custom Celestial Being Action Base, MG God Gundam with Clear Action Base and my 1/144 HG Unicorn Mode RX-0. Set them up in the Artist Alley and on my way to the merchant room. My 3 friends that came, have never been to Otakon so my advice to them was this : “Don’t buy anything Day 1”. LOL 9 times outta 10 you end up spending all your money hehe. Watched a couple Anime’s in the viewing rooms and went to the little rave which IMO was fun but I had nothing that glowed so I didn’t want to look like a idiot. Went back to the Hotel and that was that.

Day 3 was Cosplay day. Keep in mind I never cosplayed before today. I also kinda got my costume last minute because I was torn between not cosplaying and cosplaying. Anywho I went as Cody from Super Street Fighter 4. For what it was in my opinion my costume was fantastic. Yes, it could have been better but it was all in the spirit of fun. I ran around taking pics fake stabbing people (Cody has a knife) challenging other street fighter people I saw, and taking peoples dojo signs(ok maybe not the last one)
Went back to the Gundam Competition and I lost. Before I explain why I will say they gave out little consolation prizes which had like stickers etc and a nice decal set. So my hurting faded for losing lol

Gundam Competition : I felt really bad, well come on who likes losing? But thankfully the judge was able to talk to me and tell me everything I had did wrong. This really made me feel better because I kinda rushed the kit and this was a whole different league from when I won the Hobby Town USA competition.

1. My Exia didn’t have paint on the white parts – I usually don’t paint them because it’s a waste of money and me personally I don’t see the difference. But being in a competition like this you can’t think about what you think, but what the judge thinks. So basically I need to paint the whole kit

2. My Custom Celestial Being Action Base – I lost points here because well I hand brushed it but I rushed because the paint was acting super stupid. I don’t know why maybe I should have top coated it first or something. But it all boiled down to if I had done it sooner maybe I would have caught this and even changed stands. But I knew it was sloppy and I was ok I didn’t think I would loose points because of it. Understandable though next year ill make sure I paint better or just go with a clear stand. He even told me if I had used the stand that I used with God Gundam I wouldn’t’ have gotten points taken off.

3. Nub marks. Ok I dunno what happen there I usually clean them off but what he was saying is he saw like 2 I missed then it made him look for more and then he noticed the no paint on the white parts and then I lost mad points for that. So ill either start sanding (for competition kids) or just make sure I shave right like I do now and paint and really really inspect the pieces better.

So those were my 3 faults really. HG Unicorn lost points mainly for lack of panel lining on the white areas and once again no paint. I really don’t mind what he said was really valid and he assured me that if those were corrected I would have won. He loved my kits and the ideas and everyone else loved my kits too so its not that bad. Next year I have a really good idea of what I’m going to do and I will start working on those kits like now lol Everyone elses kits were fantastic as well shout out to everyone who was in the competition.

After the competition and I was finished swallowing sadness we did some more cosplaying chilled somewhere in between it all some douche bag pulled the fire alarm and we was outside for like 2 hours then we came back in. Went back to Hotel and that was it.

Day 4 was spent buying more stuff and chillin we left and got back to philly around 4/5.

In conclusion GREAT CON. Lots of firsts with the competition and the cosplaying I didn’t get to do everything I wanted to do but it was worth it. Next year is gonna rock. I will upload the pictures to the site later on as I am still uploading to photobucket. Sorry for the wall of text lol and if you read all of it Thank You!!!

Philly Comic Con 2010

First of all I took these with my Motorola Droid an dsome pictures came out good some were alil blurry but you get the idea.
This was my first time a Philly Comic Con. And it had its Pros and Conss.

Cons
Don't get me wrongas far as I could tell the only thing I really didn't like was it had alot of comics LOLNow as stupid as that sounded hear me out. I thought they would have a mixture of Comics/Anime/Video Games which they didn't. That doesn't really hurt the con I just thought maybe they would have more things. The next thing as the prices.... A couple weeks back I brought the Wal Mart Exclusive movie 6 inch Figures from well Warlmart lol and they was like 12/13 bucks. I am so glad I did. I found them at Comic Con for 30 bucks a piece. I was like ok I know they are exclusive to walmart but they are far from being rare why the heck are they 30 a piece. Regular ironman toys that I see at target/walmart were equally over priced. I can see why because its Comic Con but come on, I have went to my fair share of Anime Conventions and the prices for things are not that expensive. The Iron Man figure for example would have been 18 instead of 30 thats a rip off >_<. /rant I think thats all the Cons of the Con <- see what I did there?

Pro's
Cosplay is the first thing that comes to mind. I was invited to go to Comic Con with a couple friends of mines, and they looked cool (pics at the end) Everyone else looked cool too it as a nice turn out. On a quick Side note Philly seems like it has 0 Anime/Comic interests Comic Con and even Zenkaikon Changed my mind about that. The Costume went to extreme as to a Mother and Father came as April and Casey Jones from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.... and has there like 1-2 year olds dress up as 3 of the turtles. The amount of merchandise they had was cool too just way to expsensive for my taste. But it was nice to see how much stuff they had seeing how when I went to the Gaming Expo it didn't look as full. With Otakon right around the corner I didn't want to spread my money thin, but then again I wasn't really looking to buy anything more than 25 bucks. I did find a Big Daddy (the bouncer) for 25 but I figured I would wait till Otakon. I brought some buttons for my Messenger Bag and thats about it.

In the End..
Comic con was great on alot of fronts. I mainly went there to have a good time with my friends and get a picture with Patrick Stewart...which I didn't get for the lack of 100 dollars to do so >_>. I got some nice buttons I had a great time and it was worth the 35 bucks I paid to get in. Will I go next year? Most likely Will i wear a Costume? Highly likely lol for those who went with me they will know why :-)
O and I went to the Cosplay contest thingy the first time ever @ a Con and that was super fun Anti Sora should have won!

Mg Exia Ignition WIP PT2

Ok so times been busy so I haven't really been able to work on this guy correctly lol
what I mean by that is the fact some parts aren't painted so I had to go back and if I go back and paint them I can't finish other parts i.e the leg so what I do is finish the parts I can do.
So with that said I end up with stuff like this:

top legs I didnt spray the back pieces that show outside for some reason >_>
which is ok but I just forgot so i had to go back now contruction of the leg
is halted but I did do the feet seperately and the like ankle guard thingy

Now I didnt paint the hands yet so thats why there is no hands. And I forgot my
panel lining pen in the car (don't ask) so the right side of the arm isnt panel
lined... Coming alone nicely though you can also see in teh picture bottom right I
did the parts where the legg connect to the torso and the swords stay. lol I finished
that last night ill post more pics as I go though

MG Exia Ignition Mode WIP

Hmm What can I say about this kit so far.
It has really has alot of parts. Really feels like a Master Grade if that
makes any since. I like how the part where the orb is, connects in a way it can
sway back and forth. I know some people say stuff about this kit but for the
pose I want I think ill enjoy the kit alot. I'm not even a big Exia fan though
but i'm diggin the kit. Now on to the pictures!

I took the green middle part out just for the fact that I want to spray a top coat of
Matte but I'm starting to think I might use something different or just won't top coat
at all. What you see here is Tamiya GunMetal both Sprayed and Brushed Krylong Fusion Red and Blue and non painted White. I was going to wait to get most of the kit completed before I did the panel lining.

Unfortunately I forgot (had the kit for almost 8 months)to buy the batteries for the GN drive.
I ordered a 10pack of LR41's from some shop 3 dollars including shipping. Yay me! I'll put the
drive together when they come. That little white area at the top looks weird I wonder what I can put in there to make it look a bit better. Maybe color in the grey with white? Till the GN Drive gets built ill be using the spare energy thingy lol

Before I painted the arm pieces and u can kinda see where the ORB gaps are so it can sway

So I have been really busy but I am working on MG Exia I just started with the painting of the inner frame.

First of all Sorry no pictures :-(
But here is my color scheme and I will post pictures tonite of the spraying I already did.

Inner Frame - GunMetal
Weapons - All the Grey parts Painted in Light Gunmetal and I'm thinking of putting a gloss on the blade (grey area painted light gunmetal) not sure yet.
All Decals etc that were given with the kit.
Regular Fusion for Red/Blue's

So hopefully by next weekend I can be finished with this kit and have a full review up with pictures etc.

Ok so I been really really busy and I was faced with a choice to do 1 of 2 things.
Either keep updating my youtube/blog and have less time building gunpla.
Or Build Gunpla and have less time updating....

lol we know which one I picked.

I'm working on Mg Exia I just cut out almost all the parts for the inner frame, and de nubbed them. I also cut out some of the blue areas as well and I will start painting them sometime this week.
Exia has alot of inner parts so thats whats kinda taking awhile. I picked up some more Gunmetal and got some Light gunmetal for the swords etc.

I might have gotten my wife to hook me up with a airbrush kit since she does Specialty cakes and wants us to start using it to hook up the cakes :-) so soon as I work that out ill probally be air brushing soon.

If not May then June I will be getting the Kshatriya Conversion kit. I emailed the company and they explained that its a different type of resin I probally won't need to do anything to it and it snaps right onto the kit so if anything I might need some glue but I probally won't. So I think after MG Exia I'm gonna do Reborns. And hopefully knock out Master Asia waiting for the Conversion kit. This Sat I'm going to be ordering my Tickets for Otakon too so here is a quick list of Otakon wants gunpla wise:

And I don't think ill be doing any more kits for awhile until all of those are finished. Oh and I keep forgetting I have 1/60 Force Impulse which I want to order some more decals for. So my last couple of projects I want to really fix them up nicely. Then I want to go over my older kits and apply decals or fix paint etc. So Stay tuned!!!

I put the poll up there because atm I am really digging MG's and when I started I wasn't too confident so I have a couple NG 1/100's I would like to spruce up and clean etc and sell so I have a reason to buy there MG Counter parts. Like NG Blue & Red Astray probally my NG 00 seeing how I read somewhere they might be making a MG 00 Raiser. So if I get enough votes then I will start up somewhere I can sell my kits for the sole purpose of buying there Mg counterparts.

I got the Unicorn Gundam OVA Ep 1 Blu-Ray in the mail earlier in the week:

I never watched it on my big screen or in english, before I saw it jap/eng subs and on my computer monitor. I saw it and it was great but on Blu-Ray OMG it was so good. The fight scenes were top notch. I can't wait for EP 2 suppose to be Sinanju and Unicorn ^_^ If u have a Blu-Ray player and u love gundam get this NOW!

The shield is metallic blue but the flash made it look lighter than it is. I painted the inside of the shield Gunmetal to
match the scheme came out pretty good. Used a Metallic Blue Gundam Marker

Size wise hes kinda up there with Mg God Gundam

So Far I am really loving the kit. I kinda told myself I wouldnt buy anymore 1/144 kits but this just makes me second think that. And I hopefully can score a SD Unicorn and re think SD kits too lol

Ok for some reason the stupid Youtube won't process my Mt2S files anymore?
So I'm working on converting the files and then I will update my youtube.
I didnt Know that it wasnt working until like yesterday when I was out and
I checked my youtube on my DROID and it had the error message. So in the meantime
I will show some pics of my progress Its like 90% done. I have to finish detailing
the Bazooka and Clip holders and I have to buy some decals but atm I won't be
buying any decals until maybe May.Once I finish up the Bazooka I think I'm gonna just
leave it as is and not coat it. I was going to do a panel line wash but the kit
looks really excellent without the lines. You tell me once I post the pictures.

Oh and I got somethings coming in the mail. I told some people so those people
don't tell anyone lol I will make it a surprise :-)

Oh and I think once I finish up Unicorn I'm gonna start on Exia!

I just gripped some Gun Metal that I want to use for Mg Exia/Unicorn/Force Impulse
I probally will have to buy some more soon, they only had 1 at Hobby Town :-(

And I also noticed I forgot to upload the pics and share on my blog my Revoltech Black Getter Robo, so
I just uploaded the pics and ill do a quick wrtten review with pics soon.

I been really busy with the family and its pretty hot here so I been out and about. Hopefully I can squeeze in sometime
to do my kits. Also the weather is so good for spray painting. I still need to get all of my supplies together before I
start building though. So I think I just need another can of Gun Metal and some Chrome Silver Spray paint and some Gloss Top coat
spray paint.

I still havent brought any kits or anything because I really want to buy it from GSAM or Hobbywave so im just being patient before
I buy the kits and supplies. And its not like I don't already have like 5 kits to build. Oh and I also need to order some Decals from
Samuel Decal for Force Impulse and probally HG Rx-0 so depending on how things go I might order those soon.

I'm also considering how to do panel line washing so I'm gonna get the supplies for that too and test it out on my HG's hehe

HeroMan Ep 1

Ok I don't have the actual episode on my computer at work although ill try to get more shots later but w/e.
First of all I am a HUGE HUGE fan of Mecha. So if you slap a robot in it and some cool fight scenes and a decent story (sometimes not even a good story) I'll watch it just for the cool robots. Well this time I peeked at Heroman.

Now first of all this anime was made by Bones & Stan Lee. You can even see him in the anime! lol. The story seems a bit cliche but still good. Young man seems like a failure (he's not as sappy as lets say Shinji or Simeon from GL Season 1 lol) then he gets a robot and fights aliens lol I will sum it up that way just because I urge you to watch at least ep 1.

Next episode I think we will see more fighting. I love the animation of the series so far. HeroMan looks pretty cool and the characters look good hopefully this turns out to be a pretty good series, and hopefully It won't hurt my pockets buying the merchandise ^_^

MG G Gundam Finished !

So here is my long over due brief look at Mg God Gundam

Fantastic Poses which is like a number 1 in my book. The kit is nicely made as far as the nuts and bolts u have to put in the frame.
I kinda wish all MG's were like this lol

Unfortunely I sprayed the top coat matte and forgot to take the hands off so they kinda look ashy but I'm pretty sure I can fix that
with some Tamiya Clear Red or Orange

Great kit I think im gonna try and get the Shining Gundam and I can't wait to start on Master Gundam. !

Finished MG God looks fantastic. Gotta do a review on it maybe sat. I couldn't find anything to make the burning rings but I still got time before the competition @ Otakon.

MG Exia Ignition Mode
I think I'm gonna get started on this guy this weekend as well. Exia is usually a pretty simple build from building R2 and Avalanche so hopefully It won't take long.
I am still debating on the colors for the blue and for weapons/frame. I think Im gonna do regular Fusion Blue/Red and the big gn sword/gun silver and keep the rest of the joints regular grey or gunmetal grey.

Still haven't built:
1/60 Force Impulse/1/144 Reborns/1/144 Unicorn (Unicorn Mode)/MG Master Gundam
And I been trying to wait to do a unboxing of this cheap ED and Al figure I brought and Black Getter Revoltech Figure. I also still need to paint the Celestial Being Action base as well.

I need 1 more black panel lining marker and I need a grey one for Unicorn. Hopefully hobbywave has some GSAM has one but im really wondering if its what I want or not. Hobbywave has basically this thing they call a gundam marker but it looks like a mechanical pencil.

I want Force Impulse to look extra sexy so I gotta order some Decals form Samuel Decal hope that comes out great as well. Couple other decals I want too for 00 and stuff but ill worry about that when im ready to order.

I need marksetter for decals and I need something to repair the broken wing on force impulse :-(

I think thats it once I knock out all these kits I'm gonna be chillin till Otakon comes then ill probally grab a couple more kits.

Seems like Bandai is bringing out alot of new kits to rape our wallets with so I'm gonna sit back and see whats coming out. I don't plan on buying that much at Otakon but im pretty sure that's a lie.

I been trying to feed my youtube channel with videos and such and almost forgot. Nah just kidding I been busy I haven't had a chance to do much of anything. I picked up Mass Effect 2 the other day and I'm trying to fix my jaw, stupid thing keep dropping >_> anywho G Gundam Just needs some Top Coat. I added most of the decals/sticker type things to it lemme see if I have any pics on my phone....

I want to note that there is tons of detail on this guys inner frame two pistons on the knee joints and a bunch of like cord type things
in the back where the exhust suppose to be i think on the back of the leg nice detail and you can see the differences between a MG and lets say a NG
kit of the same kind... even though they don't have a NG .... or do they? lol

Ok so moving along pretty good. I am taking this kit a bit differently in the sense that I am spraying and still assembling pieces. Which i dunno if thats what other people do but im doing it now lol. So far so good really liking this kit and the screws in the kit kinda make it unique i kinda wish all MG's had them but meh so far really solid seems abit smaller than I thought it would be but i think all kids feel that way till I finish them well back to work!

I had alot of stuff come up and hopefully they don't impact me going to Katsucon and Otakon :-( It seems like it will but im gonna keep looking for the silver lining.

I tried looking for Xan the other day and ebay has them for like 70-100 bucks... WTH?
Yea so my dreams of getting Xan is crushed unless they do a release which is what I think I read on Ngee's Website. Hes so cool looking too I didnt notice he has like 2-3 Kunai's on his waste and the little shouler protector thing and a sick sword. Dag oh well. Hopefully i can find him or even a regular King Gainer I kinda like the way it looks. I gotta see if I can reencode the anime on my Droid and try to watch the anime again. The OP is hilarious!

Other than that nothing really going on still watching my anime reading my mangas. Hopefully I can get started on God Gundam in the next 2 weeks, might be sooner but I have somethings I need to take care of and hopefully i can hit up Katsucon.

Ok so a couple things I wanted to put out there.

Wordpress just released a Android app for there blogs. What does this mean for me?
Well I might move my blog over there. Having the Moto DROID, this will help with pushing out updates and whatnot alot better on my part. I won't jump on just yet hopefully google will make a app for blogspot(blogger?)(dunno why they didnt)

Hopefully tonite I will be able to push out a udpate on Seravee since hes fully done and do a couple update videos and start on my next project.

Couldnt come up with a name for the update today lol.
To kick things off I did finish my 1/100 Seravee and Serphim!

He came out really nice I will do a full review of the kit tonite (hopefully)
Next on my list I suppose is Exia or God Gundam. We will see which one I build.
Its raining pretty bad here so I dunno if im going to be able to spray anything.
I organized my Detolf and put the rest of my kits in there and it looks quite nice. I might take a vid of that tonite as well.

Can't wait for Katsucon I think I'm going to buy 1 Kit if anything. The winner so far (last time I checked) seemed to be HG Reborn Gundam. But if they have a MG of RX-78 or Gundam Unicorn (OVA one) I might pick that up but I doubt I would find Unicorn OVA and it might be really slim finding RX-78. But we will see! I also have been wanting a Gurren Lagan Revoltech and maybe Eva Model Kit or Revoltech so ill be looking for those as well.

Stay tuned for more videos 2 Kits left !! I been trying to pick and choose wisely which kits I get. I made a couple decisions 1 is that I don't think im going to be buying SD kits anymore. If anything I might get that Strike Freedom/Exia R2 bundle. I already have SD Destiny so of course I would want SD Strike Freedom. And Exia would look nice with my Mg Exia :-)So I'm doing all MG's and HG kits if the gundam doesnt come in MG. And I may get NG's too depending on if I like it.

Seravee Update

So I had today off work for Mr Luther King Day, and I said let me at least complete Seravee even if I didn't get to Serphim so here you go a quick two pic's from diff angles:

So before I left for work I sprayed the Seravee parts mentioned in my video @ youtube.
It had a small amount of build up im hoping will change once it drys. No pictures yet but I will try to throw up some pics later on tonite. Hopefully it comes out good >_<

I dunno if I told you guys but I sold my Samsung Omnia i910 and brought the Motorola DROID. Running Googles Android OS and I have to say its a very impressive phone. I will do a quick written review later on today and hopefully a video review, since I use my phone to do most of my videos lol. But great phone get it if you can. I personally don't want the Nexus 1 for 2 reasons 1 It has no Keyboard and 2 its too new. Yea being too new isnt that much of a problme but because of the new Snapdragon processor I want to wait and see how well it performs and does, before I jump on the snapdragon bandwagon.

Wow 2010 and do I have somethings to tell you guys.
Where I was:
First of all I had Dec 18th- Jan 4th so most of the time I was mad lazy except when I took my family out. I had a great time off with the kids and my wife.
What I did:
I finished 0 Gundam if not that week of the 18th a bit before. I made a 2 minute review thats sitting on my new DROID Cell phone which ill try to do a review on later. Im pretty well connected no adays so I will try to do more videos etc.
What I'm going to do:
Well let me start off by saying I haven't had much money for gunpla lately. I try to do things like this:
90% of my check goes to my family, anything family related or related to something I need(clothes,co-pays,bills etc) even stuff my family might want (ie toys for kids) comes out of that 90%. I usually give myself like 10 percent of my check to get WHATEVER it is I want.

And seeing how I want alot sometimes lol I end up sucking that 10% pretty fast. I got my Zune subscription and my newly Gamefly Subscription. So whats left I have to divy out towards models/supplies/games/movies. Dec check kinda sorta went all to buying the Motorola DROID lol BUT I still have 3 kits left so im not with out something to do for gunpla. Thing is with the recent hike in price of spray paint, 1 can of Tamiya is like 6.50

I can't really afford that. You figure I might need black/red/blue thats almost 20 something dollars with tax :-( before it would be liek 14 bucks or 12 for like 3 cans. So I'm going to start using Krylon Fusion which for the same amount 6.50 I get almost twice the amount of spray paint just minus all the cool metallic etc :-(

But in the long run its cheaper. I'll still get tamiya just in colors that Krylon doesn't have. I.E look at Strike Freedom I did the black is Krylon Fusion the Gold is Tamiya Gold paint. So right now im kinda getting my paints up.

A Good store to go to is Micheals/JoAnn's/AC Moore. Why? Well if you sign up to there twitter and there mailing list they always have good coupons. Sometimes 40% off one item and sometimes 50% off so I can use that towards my spray paints and save!

So anywho right now all I have is Black Krylon Fusion so I'm gonna start on Seravee since most of him is black and white and a bit of like dark/navy blue which ill just make sure I really really clean up once its finish being snipped.

Next Big Update

Well with my not really money problems but just the way I want to allocate my funds so I can do more things plan lol
I think im going to skip Katsucon this year why? Well last year I went to a bunch of con's to kinda feel out which ones the best. Right now its Otakon/Katsucon/NYAF/Zenkaikon/Game Expo. WIth Otakon being the best well I think im going to save up and make big purchases there. And when I go to Otakon I spend 3 days so I have to pay for hotel and food for three days and the ticket and I want to at least (maybe im dreaming) bring 1000 dollars for the whole trip maybe 800 (i might be dreaming lol and I probally won't spend all of it either) Anywho im gonna save save save. So last kit I might buy is MG Astray Red depending on its release date. But I figure by the time I get to the con all my kits should be done at home and ill have a list of what I want to get and I can just get them from there. AND I think im going to aim for a Perfect Grade, I'm hoping they have PG Astray Red (love the swords)

I think thats it look forward to more videos and updates on the blog im back in action!

Ok I really hate updating my blog without some sort of picture so here is a totally not perfect pic

w00t 0 Gundam I know I know, I took this and it was kinda blurry but at least its something! I painted the blue Metallic Blue and thats about it. I'm gonna panel line this guy and try to clean him up as much as possible. I'm really not feeling 1/144's as much as I was before I dunno if I was just really lazy or what but I think this one might be my last 1/144, although I really want Ribbons Gundam. I also stopped liking SD kits as well but I might grab Strike Freedom to match my Destiny Gundam.

Quick Rant on the 00 Raiser PG I'm not really feeling the 0 Raisers Extras, and im still not really feeling the kit itself. I really do agree with ZversusZ, on the premise of them splitting the kit in two. If they ever did that I would probally buy 00 PG first lol But as far as PG's go I still would like to get maybe Astray Red seeing how thats my fav PG at the moment. I would also like 1/60 Freedom ^_^

Now Black Friday is over I can focus a bit more on my kits, I made out pretty good this Black Friday. Gripped Some Blu Rays (Spiderman 3/Matrix for 12 bucks and Xmen Orgins Wolverine for 9.99) Gripped Borderlands and Uncharted 2 and got some component cables for my wii ^_^ Good times now I'm gonna try and finish some kits and some games mop up some anime and wait till Katsucon 16, which is in FEB I believe. Hopefully I can get all my kits done by then >_< I still need some paint so I will try to hit up hobby town in two weeks and try to grip somethings, I still havent heard from them with the whole contest thing I won. If I win nationally I can get a 500 dollar gift card to HobbyTownUSA hopefully that can buy me a airbrush kit and some more paint :-)

My Wife makes Themed cakes now (Gonna make her a website soon) so my question of the day is can I buy a airbrush kit for my gundams and just buy a different kit (not compressor but the part the paint goes in) for her to use to spray her cakes? Or should I just buy two air brush kits?

With all these sites throwing up PG 00 Raiser I can't help to think I would want it but man that price tag is a little up there. Correct me if Im wrong but wouldn't it translate into 400 something USD? Granted your getting this huge kit with alot of pieces but 400 though?

I love 00 Raiser, regardless of my situation as far as having kids bills etc I would love one but I just can't justify that much money for something that ultimately would just sit in my display case. I am still trying to bring myself to buy a PG Astray Red Frame because that kit looks so sexy. Anywho whats your thoughts on buying PG 00 Raiser? Is it worth the price tag? Will anyone be getting it?

As you can see the review for Zenkaikon they had NOTHING to buy! At least what I wanted. They had no Force Impulse :-( So I think im going to save up for it and when Katsucon Rolls around ill be ready to buy ^_^

ATM im sick so I haven't been making that many updates or anything gunpla just alot of sleep and TLC. Black Friday is rolling around so I got somethings I need to pay for then. So I won't be buying any new gunpla until probally FEB because of Katsucon. So for now I think ill move the poll above to the right or if I can just throw in a new poll to see who wants to see which gunpla get built next. I need to grip some more paints too which hopefully I can do by this weekend.

Zenkaikon Review

Ok So Zenkaikon where should I start...
Ok first of all for this to be a small anime con in or near philadelphia they did a good job. But because they got way more people than they thought they would, it seemed they was a bit understaffed and under equipped as far as computers for registry and some items for the video games etc.

So we arrived at Zenkaikon @ Raddison Hotel in King of Prussia. It looks nice on the out side but when we got out the car there was a large large line. 1 line for pre reg and one line to buy your tickets at the door. First of all you suppose to pre reg so you can get in faster and enjoy the con. That was not the case here they had like 1300 people pre reg, which is what you suppose to do, but I guess they only had like 1 or 2 computers to verify that you paided so it too us at least like 2 hours to get in. Once we get in guess what, we had to wait again just to get into the dealers room....

The Dealers room was pretty small and didnt have alot of stuff, but don't think thats bad thing. IMO for budget Otaku that can't make it to Otakon or Katsucon it was ok. I actually walked out of the con with nothing. The Gundams they had were ok stuff I already had 1 Black Titan MG I didnt want to spend 44 bucks on. If they had anything else I sure didn't see it I was probally waiting in line >_> My friend Knowone brought a messenger bag, this being his second con he probally got more out of it than I did.

Next up the panels anime viewing and video games. All sucked, the game room was on these old cathode ray tubed tv's. The movies were on projectors that looked like they were from a old highschool although I did get to watch some of the power rangers the movie .. um movie lol I only went in to rest my feet from the long waiting in line. Then we went to King of Prussia to eat and I brought a spiderman button for my messenger bag from the comic book store and thats about it. I went to the con with like 80 bucks in hand left with 60 (20 for food the button and gas)

Summary
Zenkaikon (from what I hear) is like a snow ball rolling down a hill getting bigger with each turn. I heard that most of the people last year looked like a small kiddy pooly compared to this years. IMO the con has potential. They need to get some more merchants and a bigger area and be prepared for more people next year. For the local that has never been to a con its good. I think ill wait for the merchant list to get bigger to go back next year. So far as the most fun cons right now its Otakon Katsucon NYAF then Zenkaikon. If your local go check it out next year but don't expect it to be the hottest thing ever.

Man im tired. Couple more days till Zenkaikon... I alreayd brought my tickets so I will be there! Looks like Mg Force Impulse won the polls thats pretty nice!
So ill look for Force Impulse or a Eva Kit (I want 00 or Type F) and what other little things I can get.

Zenkaikon website updated with schedule and maps etc its shaping up to look pretty nice. Hopefully I will have the camera with me and ill take tons of vids! I almost have my full 1000 in Borderlands that game is so fun. I also have to finish MagnaCarta 2. Umm what else I hopefully can buy some paint soon to finish up my kits >_>

Well I kinda took a break off of everything. I have been playing my xbox just got to disc two of MagnaCarta 2 and man it so sweet. No Homo but I love Hyung-tae Kim, his artwork is so hot even from when he did the Art of the Wired. I gotta get around to buying some of his work to put in my basement and hopefully i can get some figures. Here is a couple pics

I really like the style of it still being anime but kinda still looking real. Anywho the game is so sweet and it keeps me on the game with the art style so much. Like i knew nothing of the game but when I heard Kim was on it I was like yo im gonna try to get as much GS in that game as I can. I love the game though im almost sad that when I beat it its gonna go into the pile of lost game memories lol but anywho pick it up its a nice action rpg.

Back onto the update I haven't done any kits since I went to the competition at hobby town usa. They haven't contacted me or anything either lol Hopefully I will be there tomm to order some paint. For some strange reason the prices of paint (sprays) went up so I been devising a plan to get some stuff in bulk. WIP stays the same but might grow a bit, which leads me to my next update,

ZENKAIKON 2009 I am going I will be getting my tickets next week and the following SAT ill be upping videos etc. So keep checking the blog and the vblog @ youtube for that. Other than that I think thats about it. Ill blog later with a want list for Zenkaikon each event I go to seems like I get more ways to find what I want with out taking away from the overall event. HobbyTown USA Contest & Philadelphia Gaming Expo

The competition at Hobby Town USA on Baltimore Pike, was really nice. Before I get into the details when I first got there, it was about 10 or so models there. All ranging from tanks/boats/planes/cars even a diaorama of like a pasture. Seeing how we was tryin to get down to the Gaming Expo, i told myself I would take pictures when we got back which they told me to get back @ 5. Long story short I got back and everyone already got judged and took there kits and left :-( I won the Adult modeling side and a little girl one the 13 and under with her diaorama which looked niced. Here is a pic of my kit:

You can also take a peek of it in my youtube over to the right. It was a nice feeling winning because they had some really nice kits there. I also thought my kit was abit rushed in some areas that I will try to fix up but all in all it came out nice. And you can't deny the hotness of Strike Freedom VS Destiny ^_^ On another note I wanna give a big thanks to Sopheaku for suggesting to put some tissue or paper towel in the wings to keep them up. At first I was like omg thats ghetto but I tried it and well u can see in the pic the wings are up!

So after we went to Hobby Town to drop off the kit, we (me and knowone) headed to the philly game expo. I'm gonna keep this really short, it phailed! lol nah it was cool but im not a big game buyer in the sense that I would buy old systems etc they had alot of vintage things and some cool things here or there. They had a free open arcade where I played some MvC2 and some different events I wasn't that interested in. I did see a pair of Spidey Air Force ones I wanted but I wasn't exactly big spender this time, plus im saving for Zenkaikon who was there and im so mad I didn't have 20 buks to buy my ticket :-( It was a nice thing to go to with 15 bucks to get in for 1 day but I definitely wouldn't have gone more than just 1 day. If your in philly when they come again check it out but don't expect it to be the best thing in the world. After checking that out we hit china town and was surprised that we couldnt find any gundams or anything anime related there :-( I found some knock off SD kits but they werent worth it.

I didn't notice how much I said that in my roughtly 16 Building Strike Freedom Videos. Anywho thats it. Hope you guys learned something form me building it. I think ill upload 3 more videos 1 with the finished guns and another one with a full 360 view of the kit and a quick review/mythoughts on the kit and then ill be on to my other kits.

I set the poll above so long ago but I think I set it with the mindframe I was buying gunpla at Zenkaikon in Nov. If they have gunpla ill try to buy the MG Force Impulse if it wins. I still have a big WIP ahead of me so I will slow down on buying kits. I do however would like a EVA kit so if they have one of those ill grab one too :-)

For w/e reason hobby town upped the prices for there Tamiya paints so unless I can find a good online distro ill have to figure out what im going to do. They went from 3 bucks a can to 6 bucks which is outrageous considering I brought the Fusion can for 6 bucks and it was almost twice the size. I gotta google Krylon Fusion and see if I can look at what colors they offer. The black on Strike Freedom came out excellent.

Ok so bascially Strike Freedom is done I just need to finish the twin guns and he will be complete. And ill do a full review. I got some pictures I think ill hold off uploading until I finish the kit completely. Once I finish the kit its on to making a good pose but I got until Sat to do that I will try to use two of my green action bases. And I need to panel line Destiny to make him look a bit better. Right now im editing the videos for how I did everything for Strike Freedom. Unfortunely I didnt time myself while I was recording so I have to cut some videos so you might see like a video 3a and 3b since the youtube limit is 11 minutes. But for my second MG it looks really nice. Heres a teaser pic

Ok so after seeing my good friend KnowOne(http://www.youtube.com/user/KnowOne) make his Eva kit which is still in process of being built I started taking some interest in EVA kits. I always loved eva heck I named my first born after Rei. So I was going to get Eva 01 Type F or as I call him or I guess her.... anywho I was gonna get the revoltech one from AYAF but it was either that which kinda stood @ I guess a 1/144 or the 1/100 Seravee. We all know what I choose lol but I was looking around and saw this at GSAM.

Pic is kinda small but I just saw a review of it and man that thing is kinda big, bigger than I thought it would be. In hind sight I love the kit but im not too sure how im going to do it because the colors are kinda specific. So im on the fence on getting it, but man I would love to get this kit. Its going in my next poll I am looking for dygengar as well but who knows. I want to try some different kits besides Bandai. Well just a couple thoughts, I leave work soon so when I get home I can hopefully finish the robot part of Strike Freedom and the wings on the weekend

I got alot of kits on my hands. And if money permits ill be going to Zenkaikon in Nov. I know first of all next on my list is Force Impulse. After having now what 3 MG's not including Destiny I think I might strictly stay with MG kits. I will buy the occasional HG and NG here or there. As I was thinking about that I was trying to go through Dalong's MG list and see what I may want. And one kit stood out:

Unicorn and Hyaku Shiki. I'm kinda afraid of buying Unicorn for the simple fact the anime suppose to be coming out around 2010 and well who knows what they gonna put out around that time, look at how many Variations of 00 they have. Hyaku I want the gold version but hopefully I can get it at a good price. Well thats along time for me to even consider these kits but just thoughts.

I really hate when people read or hear me talk about something and think like oh yea thats what I'm goign to do with out even thinking about my current situation, im more or less making a verbal todo list that may or maynot be filled lol. But I figured I would blog randomly about my future in gunpla lol.

Strike Freedom MG PT2

Ok so now I started painting the gold pieces. I used Tamiya Gold and I have to say I wasn't expecting much, but as you can see in the picture
it came out alot better than I thought it would. After the second coat I did this morning I'm going to let it dry I think ill spray the matte
top coat on just because these pieces will be under the armor at least most of it so it might be hard to spray the coat.

Hopefully I can grab the HD Camera and make a video tonite. I denubed most of the parts that mattered everything else I can pretty much do on a as need basis.
The only thing I kinda hated about this kit is how many small pieces were in the kit. My daughter was nice enough to to lend me her Hello Kitty sandwich bags to put everything in

I got owned by the new knife i brought to cut the nubs :-(

And to add insult to injury I ran out of Gunmetal Grey which I hopefully can score a can of tonite at the hobby store.

So after a couple pints of spilled blood most parts are painted and hopefully I can finish up. I didnt spray all the gold parts just the parts I though would show if anything I can just spray individual parts later or hand paint them with my smaller paints
Stay tuned I will try to at least do the Head tonite and maybe the Torso. The real challenge just to let you guys know is the wings >_>

Strike Freedom MG PT1

Ok so my good friend Vektar schooled me to the ways of spray painting and gave me another tip. First of all to do this trick heres what you need:
Painters Tape!

I never tried it but it works nicely to do 3 things at once.
1.Spray the pieces
2. Cover Nubs
3. Keep Parts together

Before I would just keep them on the trees to make sure they wouldnt move but this method is better. It takes a bit more time but I think it will be worth it in the end.

I decided that I was going to paint my Freedom Different colors. Heres my paint scheme
Dark Blue = Black
Blue = Metallic Blue
Red = Metallic Red
Greyish Area on Rail Guns = Gunmetal Black
White = Untouched

Since I see myself using Black alot I figured I would try Krylon Fusion for Plastics
and I got some Krylon Matte Top Coat

I will say since im new to Krylon and im usually using Tamiya, there is a trick for Krylon to work perfectly.
First of all using Tamiya you only need one coat or at least a couple passes while its wet and it bonds great.
Krylon I found out I needed at least 3-4 coats. First coat looked like someone spilled oil or water on my pieces
and I was so scared. But I applied another coat looked better but still had some oily looking stuff applied another coat
was looking really good then I applied another coat and bam was perfect. Here are a couple pics the first are kinda dark u might not be able to see
what i was talking about but the finished product as you can see looks fantastic.

Messed up in IMO. Look at second pic the pieces on thebottom see how its not even?

Now looking at the Tamiya Spray which I only needed 1 Coat or i should say 3 passes left to right right to left and 3 passes up and down down and up
while it was still wet.

So this came out really nice and I have a new found respect for Krylon. Now I like the way this was done I am going to grab some more colors. They
range about 5-6 bucks a Can but as u can see from the pic below you get alot more, and it has a cool nozzle to change the direction of the paint.

So now all thats left is cutting and denubbing all the gold parts and spraying with my Tamiya Gold then its time to assemble this bad boy and
panel line as I go. After I finish this kit I'm going to do some touch up work on Destiny and then its off to the competition.

Ok I been really busy at work but let me give you guys a quick run down of whats going on. I got alot of stuff to do at work so I won't be able to keep the website updated this week but ill try my best. First of all NYAF aka New York Anime Festival.

It was my frist time going it was really fun. Would I go back yes! Would I go for all three days? No. The Cosplay was kinda scarce but it could just have been me. I had alot of fun and brought somethings but this being my 3 Con I have been to I wasnt too impressed. I still rate them Otakon/Katsucon/NYAF. Just to let you guys know I am still going to Zenkaikon in Nov so ill let u know how that goes. As far as gunpla Here is what I got from NYC when I went.

I got God Gundam from Image Anime and I got the rest from the con. I had fun though don't get me wrong. NYC was nice this was like my second time going. And I totally forgot about peeping china town (tt hongli's) I will go back soon so hopefully I can just check out some other things in nyc.

As a Update as far as kits I am working on Strike Freedom MG right now just finished spraying some parts last night. I am working on him first because I am trying to enter a competition on Oct 10th. I had some pics but I left the camera so ill make sure I bring them to work tomm or ill try to upload them to the blog tonite. So after Freedom is done I have MG Ignition Mode Exia, Seravee, 0 Gundam HG, and God Gundam. Lots of kits. I don't think I'm going to buy another kit until at least 3 of these are finished lol But hopefully I can get a good price on Force Impulse when I go to Zenkaikon. I wanted Reborn's Gundam but they wanted 30 bucks for it at Image Anime and after I said my Nani's I left with Mg God Gundam which looks so sweet.
